This is going to be a fool-proof guide on exactly how to get a perfect town. I did all of this in one day (by time traveling), but obviously you can work on it over a period of time. There are probably a billion other ways/combinations of getting a perfect town but this is how I did it.

Your Checklist:

- More than 50 Flowers

- 115-120 Trees

- 12 PWPs

- No weeds/garbage


Explanations:

- Take a couple of trips to the island and pick up flowers from the tours. You can hold up to 40 flowers in the storage box. Plant them literally anywhere, New Leaf doesn’t go by acres, it just counts your total amounts in town.

- You can either chop down all of your trees and start over, or count the ones you already have and go from there. I counted mine by digging a hole in front of each tree and just counting so I knew which ones I already got. (Quick way to get trees: get a golden shovel and bury 1,000 bells, ta-da you get a regular sapling) You can have any type of tree, fruit, cedar, regular, or dead trees.

- There are some PWPs that will hurt your score, so the ones I used were: The Cafe, Campground, 3 benches, 2 bridges (must), 3 Street Lamps, Water Well, and a Fountain

Don’t use: garbage can, oil excavator, illumination lights, jumbo monitor, tower, picnic blanket, tire play equipment (these pwps will bring down your score)

- Pick ALL the weeds in your town, and make sure you don’t have a rafflesia (big red flower with flies around it) but clovers and dandelions do not count as weeds. Don’t leave ANYTHING on the ground.

Things that count as garbage: items, bells, fruit/fruit baskets, fossils, gyroids, ore, and any buried items not generated by the game (stuff you buried yourself)

Things that do not count as garbage: mushrooms, sea shells, buried gyroids, buried pitfall seeds, and buried unassessed fossils

After you complete all of this, talk to Isabelle and she should congratulate you on getting a perfect town!! (Manage to keep it for 15 days to get the golden watering can) She will also add the town hall renovations and Flower Clock to your PWP list!
